Boarded Up Windows Wiveliscombe

This afternoon on a visit to Wivey to do some shopping we noticed some boarded up windows in the unusual Court House building. Picture to the right.

Pretty sure they weren't that way when we last drove into town at the beginning of the week.

My guess is that they were replacing rotten wooden window frames -- but perhaps they were repairing vandalism?

  1. I used to work at The Old Court House in the 1960's when it was Risdon Hosegood and Morle, later changed to Risdon Tarr and Morle. Arthur Tarr was the auctioneer/valuer. The other half of the building was The National Provincial Bank. Mum and Dad ran the grocery shop at 3 North Street.

  2. Does anybody remember Arthur Stone of Golden Hill? He worked for Arthur Tarr and with me.
